The University of Western Australia offers International Master’s by Coursework scholarships to high-achieving International students from India. The value of the scholarship awarded will be determined by the academic achievement of the applicant and will be awarded over three levels.

Alumni of UWA include one Prime Minister of Australia (Bob Hawke), five Justices of the High Court of Australia (including one Chief Justice, Robert French, now Chancellor), one Governor of the Reserve Bank (H. C. Coombs), various federal cabinet ministers, and seven of Western Australia’s eight most recent premiers. In 2018 alumnus mathematician Akshay Venkatesh was a recipient of the Fields Medal. In 2014, the university produced its 100th Rhodes Scholar. Two members of the UWA faculty, Barry Marshall and Robin Warren, won Nobel Prizes as a result of research at the university.
SCHOLARSHIPS
The international master’s by coursework scholarship program is awarded to international students who have demonstrated academic excellence in relevant undergraduate studies completed at an Australian University in Australia and will undertake an applicable master’s by coursework degree in 2018 or 2019.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply, applicants are required to:
- Meet the conditions to enrol full-time in a master’s by coursework degree as an international student in 2018 or 2019;
- Have completed an appropriate bachelor’s degree course at an Australian university within 12 months of applying for a course at UWA;
- Have achieved an equivalent UWA WAM of at least 70 in this degree;
- Accepted the scholarship offer within 14 days from the date of offer being made, after which time the University may revoke the scholarship offer;
- The scholarship offer must be taken up in the semester for which it is being awarded;
- The scholarship may be held concurrently with any other scholarship or award, provided that this is permitted by the conditions of the concurrent scholarship or award;
- The scholarship is conditional on a formal assessment and written offer from the University’s Admissions team in Perth.
